Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,
It is with great joy and gratitude that I welcome you to Ulrika Institute of Home Economics —
a place where practical skills truly become wealth. Since our founding in 1976 under the patronage of
Blessed Sister Ulrika of Hegne, Germany, we have remained steadfast in our mission to empower
individuals with competencies that secure livelihoods and build resilient communities.
Our curriculum is designed to be hands‑on, industry‑relevant, and future‑ready. Whether you are
pursuing a Diploma, Certificate, or Junior Certificate in Hotel & Institutional Catering,
Fashion Design & Tailoring, or Cosmetology & Body Therapy, you will benefit from our
well‑equipped workshops, experienced instructors, and a learning environment that nurtures creativity,
discipline, and self‑reliance.
At Ulrika, we believe that “Practical Skills is Wealth”. This motto guides every aspect of our
training — from the kitchen to the sewing machine, from the salon to the classroom. We are proud to be a
registered Institute with the Ministry of Education and Sports (MOES 128), licensed by the
National Council for Higher Education (NCHE LT38), and accredited as a
UBTEB Centre (UBT 228 / UBB 159) and a UVTAB private TVET provider (UVT 228).
As we look to the future, we are committed to expanding our reach — including providing
safe and reliable accommodation for students who cannot commute daily, and progressively
upgrading our programmes to degree level. Our vision is to be a leading digitalized,
high‑quality vocational skilling and training institution in the region.
I invite you to join our community of learners who are shaping their futures with confidence and competence.
Explore our courses, visit our campus, and discover how Ulrika Institute can be the stepping stone to your
success.
May God bless you abundantly as you pursue your dreams.
